Your home should be your place of peace, and little things like color, temperature, lighting, furniture placing can make a big impact on your headspace. Spring Home Restart 1. Change your Color Palette You can make changes to your color palette by simply changing the colors in your house decoration/furniture. You can add an accent wall or change the art prints/photos you currently have on your wall. Some Great places to get budget friendly prints are Canva (you can create your own and print it in your desired size), or Etsy . Adding rugs and cushions with a different color can make a big difference. You might want to add colorful pastels or floral prints. It's really up to you, and you should go for what matches your home style. 2. Flower Bouquets The flower vendors are back at the farmers markets! Adding flowers to your house is a nice touch that reminds you of the new season, and it will brighten your day every time you see them. It's the beauty of simple things. Things to consider will be having pet friendly flowers. Daisies, Roses, Sunflowers, Lisianthus, and orchids are some of the most common pet friendly flowers. Tulips are beautiful and one of the most common spring flower bouquet, but they can be toxic to cats and dogs. 3. Spring Clean-Up Nothing better than a deep clean for the spring. Put away your humidifier and dust of your ceiling fans. This is a perfect time to clean spaces you have neglected during the winter. Been there, done that. Take some time to organize your garage, and get rid of things things you haven't used in a while. I (Maria) like to go by the two year rule. If I haven't used in in the last two years, I will donate or sell the item, depending on what it is. This is a time to freshen up, so cleaning your house will impact your mindset and help you feel renewed. 4. Prepare Your Garden Get your garden beds ready and plan what you will be planting ahead of time. This is the time to do some research, if you are starting your garden for the first time, or get right into it by starting your seeds indoors. The most important thing is to create a space that gives you comfort and peace. We hope lots of good things come your way this season, and please share with us ideas or thing you do when we enter a new season!
